The Search Institute is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to promote healthy children, youth, and communities. At the heart of the institute's work is the framework of 40 Developmental Assets, which are positive experiences and personal qualities that young people need to grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. Resiliency in Action is dedicated to the exciting, hopeful, and very real concept of resiliency. Evidence is all around us of the ability of children, youth, adults, organizations, and communities to bounce back from stress and adversity. Their purpose is to spread the news of resiliency through sharing research and facilitating the practical application and evaluation of resiliency.

The National Resource Center for Youth Services  offers resources and support for child welfare, youth services, juvenile justice, and other professionals whose focus is youth, children and families. NRC provides on-site training, management services, information and referral, conference planning, teen conferences, and a wide variety of affordable publications and videos. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life of our nation's at-risk youth and their families by improving the effectiveness of human services.
