Welcome to the Montana Office of Public Instruction's (OPI) Information Technology Project web page.  This site provides you information on current information technology projects that affect the partnership between schools, districts, and  the OPI.  These projects are an essential component of Montana's effort to design and implement high-quality K-12 education data systems.

MontSASE stands for Montana State Accountability System for Education. This includes the Office of Public Instruction's information systems which support core business processes and a quality education in Montana. The system includes those data collections used to meet federal and state reporting requirements such as enrollment, graduation and dropout, child count, fiscal reporting, grant applications, etc. These data systems include the following:

  • Electronic Grants Management
  • AIM - Achievement in Montana
    Student Information System which includes Special Education Records Information Management
  • Other OPI data collections:
    Annual Data Collection (ADC)
    Federal Consolidated Application (FCA)
    Child Count
    MAEFAIRS
    Discipline Data
    Educator Licensure
