The spring Career and Technical Education (CTE) data collection began April 15th and ends on June 5th. Schools need to identify all students in grade 12 who were enrolled at any point during the 2008-2009 school year and have met the requirements for a CTE Concentrator. CTE Concentrators are high school seniors who have earned three (3) or more courses or credits in any CTE area of concentration or a 'blend' of more than one area. Courses students are currently enrolled in may count toward credits earned.
Schools who receive funding from the Carl Perkins grant program must complete this spring CTE data collection.
Students meeting the requirements for identification as CTE Concentrators must have the Concentrator box checked and an Area of Concentration entered. The Career Path field is not required for the 2008-2009 school year. If students meet additional requirements for Tech Prep Participant, Non Traditional Enrollee and/or Student is Single Parent, those fields must also be marked.
SchoolMaster users should acquire the latest update from SchoolMaster prior to attempting the CTE file upload.
Instructions for completing the CTE data collection are located on the OPI AIM Webpage at: http://www.opi.mt.gov/pub/aim/AIM%20Collections/Career%20%26%20Technical%20Education/
