Board of Public Education to meet in Helena on November 3-4, 2011Monday, October 31, 2011, 5:01 pm
The Montana Board of Public Education will meet at the State Capitol, Room 152 in Helena on November 3-4. Agenda topics include recommendations for approval of the Montana Common Core K-12 Content Standards in English/Language Arts and Mathematics, an update from the Chapter 55 Joint Task Force, a request from Rocky Mountain College to add Broadfield Science to its curriculum for its educator preparation program, recommendations for approval and denial of requests for Alternatives to Standards, a recommendation for approval of an amendment to ARM 10.55.909 to require the statewide student identifier on the permanent student record, and a recommendation for adoption of OPI's Quality Educator Critical Shortage Areas report (posted at http://www.opi.mt.gov/PDF/cert/CrShortageNov2011.pdf).
