Graduation Matters Montana
Tuesday, October 4, 2011, 1:09 pmGRADUATION MATTERS MONTANA is a statewide initiative to support locally-designed efforts to engage community-business-school partnerships to ensure all Montana students graduate from high school college- and career-ready. OPI launched the initiative this September with a website (http://graduationmatters.mt.gov) which includes a toolkit to help local districts launch their own Graduation Matters effort, and materials to do an "I Pledge to Graduate!" event. To date, all the AA districts and two others – Hamilton and Townsend – have launched or are planning to launch a Graduation Matters initiative, meaning that over 50% of all high school students in Montana will benefit this year from a graduation effort. Several other districts have called the OPI with interest in starting a GMM effort in their community. Contact Deborah Halliday for more information on launching a GMM initiative in your community.
