School-specific data results from the recently completed 2013 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) will be available in early May from the YRBS website  The YRBS was voluntarily conducted by 85 percent of Montana schools with grades 7-12.  The Montana YRBS (statewide) data will be the result of 100 percent of the randomly selected schools participating.  The YRBS is conducted biennially by the OPI through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  The YRBS measures health risk behaviors regarding unintentional injuries and violence, tobacco use, alcohol and other drug use, sexual behaviors, dietary and nutritional behaviors, and physical inactivity.   School-specific results are available via the new web-based application using  username/password information which was emailed to superintendents in December by Mary Graff, OPI securities administrator.  Please contact Mary ( for security questions and Susan Court for YRBS questions.
