Seeking teacher input on Traffic Education curriculum revisionMonday, October 29, 2012, 11:32 am
The OPI appreciates the ongoing partnership and grant support from the MT Department of Transportation to continue updating modules in the OPI's Montana Teen Driver curriculum. A committee of teachers and a consultant are working closely with Traffic Education Director Fran Penner-Ray to change the text-heavy PowerPoint presentations to more engaging learner-centered activities with real-world driving scenarios and driver decision points. Traffic education teachers with ideas or suggestions for improving and reinvigorating the TE curriculum are encouraged to get involved in this important project.
To review the updated curriculum modules and download the entire curriculum (without tests), visit the Montana Teen Driver Curriculum site. To request the current 2006/2012 curriculum and resources with tests on a USB flash drive contact Patti Borneman. Include your name, school, address, and phone number in your request.
