Expanding Breakfast Participation through Enhanced Marketing TechniquesTuesday, February 1, 2011, 10:30 am
Is your school interested in increasing school breakfast program participation? The Montana Team Nutrition Program would like to work with four schools as part of a pilot project. The goal of the project is to increase levels of school breakfast participation through the use of a marketing technique which is focused on the use of promotional signage. Participating schools will be asked to provide pre and post intervention data concerning participation levels in the breakfast program and provide the responses of school staff and parents through a survey and/or focus group. Each of the four schools selected will receive a $500.00 mini-grant to support nutrition education or marketing efforts of the school foodservice program at the completion of the project. The pilot project will begin in February or March 2011.
