2011 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) - Registration in ProgressMonday, November 1, 2010, 11:56 am
The registration packets for the 2011 Montana Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) were sent to all Montana school district superintendents the last week of September. Registration is open until November 30, 2010. If you did not receive a registration packet please contact the YRBS Program at the OPI. The 2011 YRBS will be administered during late February 2011 to students in grades 7-8 and high school. The biennial survey sponsored by the OPI, through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is a self-reported student survey for behaviors of unintentional injury and violence, tobacco use, alcohol and other drug use, sexual behaviors, nutrition and dietary behaviors, and physical activity. In addition to the 50 schools that are selected by the CDC to provide Montana statewide data results, all Montana school districts can participate in the YRBS so as to collect school-specific data through anonymous and confidential survey processes. For more on the YRBS or to access your School-Specific data go to www.opi.mt.gov/yrbs.
