Keeping Schools and Kids Safe - Fall 2010 Training Offerings

October 4 - Miles City Guest House Inn
October 5 - Glasgow Cottonwood Inn
October 12 - Great Falls La Quinta Inn & Suites
The training day is from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a working lunch provided. The trainings are intended to provide health enhancement teachers, family and consumer science teachers, counselors, and any educators who have the responsibility of teaching a district's sexual health curriculum to K-12 students, with age-appropriate and medically accurate materials. Topics to be covered are an HIV "101", reasons for abstinence, teaching strategies that address decision-making and critical-thinking skills, bloodborne pathogen and work site safety practices and policy. To help defray costs to the district, a $50 substitute teacher reimbursement can be claimed for each teacher attending the training.
