Thursday, February 28, 2013, 11:35 am

The 2013-2014 GT Intent to Apply survey will open on March 1, 2013 and close March 29, 2013Any school system/district interested in applying for Gifted and Talented Grant Funds must complete the Intent to Apply survey.  There are a few changes to the GT Grant Application process this year; the Gifted Program Plan submission is the major one.  In the Intent to Apply, each participating school district/system will certify that they have or are in the process of writing a Gifted and Talented Program Plan and each school understands that they will be required to submit (uploaded to the GT grant application or emailed directly to the OPI) the plan as part of their GT grant application.  A Gifted Education Resource Guide can be found on the OPI website. This resource guide highlights the main components of a comprehensive Gifted & Talented Education Program Plan.  In addition to the resource guide each of the five Regional Education Service Areasoffer professional development in writing your district plan.
