Jennifer Bell reports: *Lame Deer March character trait: TRUST; lessons include learning about the Salish Kootenai tribe and featuring the animal: Otter *Grandparents Day was a huge success. On a below-zero day, fifty, that's right fifty grandparents attended! *The Morning Star Store continues to reward the children. *The Parent Center is so welcoming with brand new furniture (see photos below). *Upcoming events: *Elder and student mentor lunch! *Monday for Mom.. where the children will make flowerpots for their moms! *A 6th grader shares his thoughts about the Character Education project at Lame Deer Elementary: "Character Ed was the best thing that ever happened to me. Currently, I'm behaving in class and I don't have any problems with my teacher. This happened thanks to Jennifer Bell. She is a good teacher; she even helped me get my grades up for basketball games. Since I raised my grades, I was able to join track. It's pretty fun except we have to run up to the lame deer High School to practice on their big track, but it's all right. This summer I'm playing baseball and basketball with both of my uncles. Mrs. Bell encourages me to participate in as many activities as I can. She supports me in almost everything I do."
