While not applicable to every organization, these corporations might match some programs, and reviewing their guidelines can help spark ideas—such as which businesses to contact in your own community.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. external link —support education and literacy through "community events, educational activities and programs that put books in the hands of disadvantaged children," primarily in communities served by their stores

Ben & Jerry’s Foundation external link —offers grants to organizations that are working toward eliminating the underlying causes of environmental and social problems.

Compaq Contributions Program external link —gives support to programs where the company has a significant employee and business presence.

Delta Air Lines Foundation external link —supports programs dealing with cultural advocacy, wellness of the community, and leadership development in communities where Delta has a presence.

eBay Foundation external link —grants to groups that provide hope, tools and direction to people through the “creative application of technology.”

General Mills, Inc. external link —providing grants to communities they operate in, focusing on arts and culture, education, family life, and health and nutrition.
