Promote family reading by providing your students with these family reading activities and encourage them to attend summer reading programs at their local libraries. The Family Reading Program is a collaborative effort of the Office of Public Instruction, Montana State Reading Council, and MEA-MFT.

READ ALOUD!
Read aloud to your children everyday—no matter how old they are! Read brief but complete stories as often as possible. Provide variety such as high interest, humor, special interest, and family stories. Be a model. Let your children see you read.
