Governor Brian Schweitzer and First Lady Nancy Schweitzer invited all Montana schoolchildren to make decorations for 56 Holiday Trees (one for each Montana county) to adorn Montana's Capitol Building in December. Students from more than 200 classrooms responded, sending a wonderful array of creative and beautiful ornaments and garlands. Some ornaments arrived after the photos were taken, but be assured all the decorations that could possibly fit on the trees have since been hung. Capitol visitors are amazed and delighted. The Governor and First Lady invite all Montanans who may be visiting or traveling through Helena during the holidays to stop in and see this wonderful show of Montana artistic talent. |
